The vehicle (1) moves between a position releasing a passenger compartment (5) and another position closing the compartment. A hood movement is automatically executable after an actuation of a switch (15) by an operator and is deactivatable by the operator by using a set of operating elements (21-35) that is assigned to an emergency-stop-unit (16) during the automatic hood movement. The latter operating element is assigned to the emergency stop unit during an activation of the automatic hood movement and is assigned to a functional unit without activation of the automatic hood movement.
