The present invention addresses the problem of providing a dry composition containing yeast extract having improved adhesion to equipment during manufacture, improved caking during storage, and high flavor potency and flavor quality, and a method for manufacturing the same. The present invention provides a dry composition including yeast extract and dry yeast wherein the value calculated by dividing the cell wall fraction in the dry yeast (wt%) by the total nitrogen content in the dry yeast (wt%) is 16 or lower. The present invention also provides a method for manufacturing a dry composition including a step for drying yeast extract together with dry yeast, wherein the value calculated by dividing the cell wall fraction in the dry yeast (wt%) by the total nitrogen content in the dry yeast (wt%) is 16 or lower.
