PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow for determination of a scene suitable for slow reproduction, while suppressing increase in the throughput incident to increase in the shooting frame rate, when performing automatic slow reproduction only of a scene suitable for slow reproduction, from moving image captured at a high frame rate.SOLUTION: A change of a moving picture in the time direction is detected at a predetermined time period or the period of image frame interval, and metadata indicating a scene suitable for slow reproduction is generated for a scene including an image frame of large change. Furthermore, the time interval or the frame interval of an image frame to be detected and a frame to be referenced, when detecting the change of a moving picture in the time direction, is determined independently from the detection period or the frame rate of the moving picture.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
