PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floor lifting device for a vehicle capable of keeping the height of a step low in the getting-on/-off position by forming compactly the lifting/lowering part to lift and lower a movable floor. SOLUTION: An lifting/lowering means 20 is equipped with a start assisting mechanism to energize the movable floor 11 in the direction of spreading at the time of starting when the movable floor 11 in the accommodated position is to be spread into the spread position. The start assisting mechanism has an energizing means (inclining pieces 26d and 27b) installed on a slide bar 22 and a driving bar 27 and energizing the movable floor 11 in the spreading direction with a driving force given by a driving means 40 at the time of starting and a restricting means (a fixing pin 22a, long hole 27a) to restrict transmission of the driving force from the driving means 40 to a drive link until the movable floor 11 is spread by the energizing means to a certain amount in the spreading direction.
