PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric conversion element which exhibits excellent performance, and a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A photoelectric conversion element 10 includes: a first conductivity-type or second conductivity-type semiconductor substrate 1 having a first surface 1a; a first conductivity-type amorphous semiconductor film 3 and a second conductivity-type amorphous semiconductor film 5 provided on the side of a second surface 1b opposite to the first surface 1a of the semiconductor substrate 1; a first electrode 12 provided on the first conductivity-type amorphous semiconductor film 3; and a second electrode 11 provided on the second conductivity-type amorphous semiconductor film 5. The first conductivity-type amorphous semiconductor film 3 and the second conductivity-type amorphous semiconductor film 5 are arranged at an interval when viewed from a direction perpendicular to the second surface 1b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
