<p>The method involves omitting an injection of fuel into a cylinder during a cylinder-working period of an internal combustion engine after occurrence of an event, which activates a starting process of an internal combustion engine, and with existence of a predetermined operating condition. The injection of the fuel into the cylinder is carried out with an increased fuel amount in a directly associated cylinder-working period, where the fuel amount is freely selected in the cylinder, in which the injection of the fuel is carried out. An independent claim is also included for an engine control device provided for an internal combustion engine.</p> |
