PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat belt retractor which inhibits contact between a locking base and a base frame, and to provide a seat belt device.SOLUTION: A seat belt retractor includes: a spool 2 which winds up webbing for restraining an occupant; a base frame 3 which rotatably houses the spool 2; and a locking mechanism 4 which restricts rotation of the spool 2. The locking mechanism 4 comprises: a locking base 41 disposed at an end part of the spool 2; an opening 31 formed in the base frame 3 and into which the locking base 41 is inserted; an engagement tooth 32 formed at an inner edge of the opening 31; a pawl 42 which is disposed so as to move to a radial outer side relative to the locking base 41 and engage with the engagement tooth 32; and a protect cover 43 attached to the locking base 41 and having a side wall part 43b disposed along a side surface part of the locking base 41.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
