This optical scanning device has: a scanning means for scanning light emitted from a laser corresponding to a video signal and forming an image on a screen; a first light detection means for detecting light after scanning with the scanning means; a second light detection means for detecting light after scanning with the scanning means; and a control means for controlling a deflection angle for the scanning means on the basis of a time difference between the output of the first light detection means and the output of the second light detection means.
