PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire detection device for reducing the influence of an aliasing noise to be generated by carrying out the image sampling of an illumination which is turned on by a commercial power source frequency in detecting a fire by the frequency analysis of an image. SOLUTION: This fire detection device is provided with: an imaging means for photographing a monitor section; and an image processing means for detecting a fire or smoke within the monitor section by processing a photographed image, and the image processing means is provided with: a fire candidate region extraction means for extracting a fire candidate region from the photographed image; and a fire detection means for detecting whether or not the fire candidate region extracted from the time-series data of the featured point of the extracted fire candidate region is a true fire region. The fire detection means is provided with: a frequency analysis arithmetic means for carrying out the frequency analysis of the time-series data of featured values; and a noise removing means for removing the components of a frequency band relating to an aliasing noise due to the image sampling from a spectrum obtained by the frequency analysis.
