The actuator has a supply part with hydraulic pressure generator (12), connected via control units (14,16,18,20) to a hydraulic function part with transmitter (22) for control of a servo cylinder (24) connected to a friction clutch, and a multiple servo cylinder system (26) for gear selection. Control units, transmitter, and cylinder system are integrated on or in the function block (30). Control units and transmitter are of cartridge construction and are flanged to a pref. flat contact face on the block. The function block is an extrusion-molded profile of a light metal alloy, e.g. aluminum alloy.
