PROCESS FOR PREPARING ZINC OXIDE SINGLE CRYSTAL

PURPOSE: A zinc oxide bulk single crystal is prepared which increases a growth to 1010 direction. CONSTITUTION: The zinc oxide powder is sintered and thrown into a lower part of autoclave, and zinc oxide seed crystal is thrown into an upper part of the autoclave. A mineralizer comprising 2.5- 3.5 mole of potassium hydroxide, 0.5- 1.5 mole of lithium hydroxide and 0.5- 1.0 mole of ammonium hydroxide is thrown into the autoclave and sealed. Temperatures of the upper part and lower part of the autoclave are risen to 330- 350°C and 350- 370°C respectively, and maintained at 350- 400 atm for 20 days to give the zinc oxide single crystal.
