A corresponding point (8a) is set on an extension line that is extended horizontally from the measurement point (7) toward a right viewpoint image (6R). If there is vertical misalignment (D) between the left and right viewpoint images (6L, 6R) at the time of positional adjustment by calibration and the straight line (24, 27) that passes through the measurement point (7) and the corresponding point (8a) in the respective viewpoint images (6L, 6R) intersects with the horizontal line at a small angle (theta), the corresponding point (8a) is set incorrectly at a position greatly deviating from the true corresponding point (8). To prevent this, it is determined that left and right viewpoint images (6L, 6R) that result in an angle (theta) smaller than or equal to a threshold (S) are not suitable for three-dimensional measurement, and a warning is issued.
