A center bearing device for a propeller shaft is provided to realize effective power transmission between propeller shafts and control the power transmission simply. A hypoid gear part(140) is coupled in a housing(110) elastically and at the right angle to front and rear propeller shafts(120) for transmitting rotation force of input/output shaft gears(121). A driving part(150) drives the hypoid gear part linearly for controlling the engagement between the input/output shaft gears. A guide element(160) guides the linear motion of the hypoid gear part. A friction element(170) controls rotation of the hypoid gear part.
