PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide solid state forms of fidaxomicin, and to provide processes for preparing the same.SOLUTION: The invention provides a process for preparing a solid state form of fidaxomicin and the solid state form, as well as a pharmaceutical composition and formulation containing one or more of solid state forms of fidaxomicin, as well as a process for preparing the pharmaceutical composition and formulation. The solid state form of the invention exhibits advantageous characteristics, such as improved reliability and reproducibility in manufacturing and processing as well as stability in formulations.SELECTED DRAWING: None
