PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To immediately notify the driver of the relation between the current position and evacuation route, when encountering vehicle accident, or the like, inside a tunnel. SOLUTION: An arithmetic processing part 1 of a navigation device, including a storage device 3 storing map data containing tunnel information, in which the position of emergency exit provided to each tunnel is associated includes a means for calculating the current position; a display means for displaying an image that indicates the current position on a map, by using the calculated current position and the map data; and a means for determining the entrance of a vehicle into the tunnel and its exit from the tunnel by using the calculated current position and the map data. When a prescribed operation is accepted from the user, during the period of time since it is determined that the vehicle has entered the tunnel, until the vehicle exits therefrom; the display means displays evacuation route guidance that includes the data that indicates the current position and the distance, and the direction from the current position, to the emergency exit by using the current position and the tunnel data.
