PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To vary the drive timing of a valve, and to stop the drive of the valve.SOLUTION: A camshaft 20 is engaged with a first cam piece 30 engaged by the engagement of first splines 23, 32 with each other for driving a first valve 3, and the camshaft 20 is engaged with a second cam piece 40 engaged by the engagement of second splines 24, 42 with each other for driving a second valve 4. The cam pieces 30, 40 are coupled with each other by a coupling mechanism 50 without relative displacement in axis directions L, R and relatively rotatable in circumferential directions M, N. A switching device 60 changes over a drive state of driving the valves 3, 4 and a rest state of idling by displacing the cam pieces 30, 40 in the axis directions L, R. Moreover, a variable device 90 changes the drive timing of the second valve 4 with respect to the first valve 3 by displacing the first spline 23 and the second spline 24 on the camshaft 20 side in the axis directions L, R. |
