PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of an SNMP management system by retransmitting a TRAP issued from an SNMP agent device for failure in reception of the TRAP in an SNMP manager device, with respect to an SNMP sequence management method, the manager device, and the agent device. SOLUTION: An agent device 1-2 transmits a TRAP obtained by adding a sequence number to a TRAP including state change information, to a manager device 1-1 when detecting a change in state of the device itself, and the manager device 1-1 collates the sequence number of the received TRAP with the latest sequence number managed by the device itself to recognize a lost TRAP and transmits a GET-Request command designating a sequence number of the lost TRAP, to the agent device, and the agent device responds with MIB information describing TRAP information of the designated sequence number, by a GET-Response.
