Provided are aromatic dimethylidyne compounds containing fluorine, which exhibit strong light-emitting characteristics in the dark-blue region of the optical spectrum, and thus are usable as light emitting materials for organic EL devices and fluorescent markers in the security application. The aromatic dimethylidyne compounds containing fluorine has a structure represented by the following formula 1. In the formula, R1, R2, R3 and R are identical to or different from each other, each is a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted cycloalkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl group, RFn is identical to or different from each of R1, R2 and R3 and includes n fluorine atoms, n is an integer greater than 1, Ar is a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group or a substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl group.
