<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microorganism habitat bed which can be manufactured at a low cost, and enables the habitation of a number of microorganisms for improving the purification efficiency of eutrophicated water, and its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: It is noticed that fly ash which consists of spherical fine particles having a particle diameter of≤10μm is suitable for producing a minute and complicated surface state suitable for the habitation of microorganisms. The low manufacturing cost microorganism habitat bed suitable for the habitation of microorganisms is manufactured without using a binder, such as an adhesive, by agitating and mixing the fly ash with olefin resin as a base material (a mixing process: a step S1), and forming a mixed block by pressing using a die at a high temperature near a softening point (a pressing process: a step S2). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
