<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device capable of calculating more accurate amount of ink consumed, considering the environmental conditions, with small discrepancies with the actual amount of ink discharged. <P>SOLUTION: The image formation device is provided with a recording head, an image data receiving means, a drive signal generating means, a discharged drop amount detecting means which detects the amount of ink discharged from the recording head based on the drive signal, an ink discharged amount detecting means which detects the amount of ink discharged by accumulating the amount of discharged drops, an image information generating means which generates the image information based on the image data, and an ink used amount calculating means which calculates the amount of ink used required for forming the image based on the image information. It is provided with an environmental condition detecting means which detects the environmental conditions around the recording head, and the ink used amount calculating means corrects and calculates the amount of ink used according to the environmental conditions detected by the environmental condition detecting means so that the calculated amount of ink used becomes an approximate of the detected amount of ink discharged. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
