PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide particles for a display medium having high heat resistance and providing preferable charges necessary to maintain display quality by compounding monomers having a chargeable functional group in the raw material monomers of a charge controlling resin within an appropriate range. SOLUTION: The particles for a display medium constitute a display medium to be used for an information display panel that displays information such as an image by applying an electric field to the display medium which has an optical reflectance and chargeability and is sealed between two substrates 1, 2 thereby moving the display medium. The particles comprise approximately spherical polymer particles obtained by a wet method and containing a binder resin, a charge controlling resin and a colorant, in which the blending amount of monomers having chargeable functional groups in the raw material monomers constituting the charge controlling resin is 0.3 to 50 mol%.
