EYELID DETECTION APPARATUS, EYELID DETECTION METHOD AND PROGRAM THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eyelid detection apparatus capable of detecting a right eyelid in a short time. SOLUTION: A camera 10 picks up a candidate's face, and CPU 24 of a computer 14 acquires its video image and stores it in an image memory 22. The CPU 24 extracts a pair of edge lines as a candidate of combination of the candidate's upper eyelid and lower eyelid from a predetermined region of the video image stored in the image memory 22. The CPU 24 calculates an evaluation value indicating the possibility that portions of right and left ends of the pair of edge lines include at least one of inner corners of the eye and the tails of the eye.
