An in-mould inkjet ink comprising an injection-resistant thermoformable resin, a dispersed pigment, a solvent, and optionally a radiation-curable monomer and/or oligomer in combination with a photoinitiator, wherein the injection-resistance of the resin is determined by the following test: (i) prepare a test ink by combining 20% by weight of the resin with 6% by weight of a cyan pigment dispersion having 30% by weight of a dispersed cyan pigment, based on the total weight of the cyan pigment dispersion, 0.1 % by weight of a polyether-modified polydimethylsiloxane surfactant and 73.9% by weight of 3-methoxy-n-butylacetate, based on the total weight of the test ink, (ii) apply a 12 μηι film of the test ink to a first and second aluminium substrate, (iii) dry the printed substrates in an oven at 60°C for three minutes, (iv) cool the first substrate to 25°C and heat the second substrate in an oven at a temperature of at least 20°C above the glass transition temperature of the resin for 10 minutes before cooling to 25°C, and (v) determine the number of double rubs required to break-through the test ink to the first and second substrate using a cloth saturated in isopropyl alcohol, wherein a positive results occurs where the number of double rubs to achieve break-through for the test ink on the second substrate is at least two times the number of double rubs for the test ink on the first substrate. |
