<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase precision in adjustment by preventing influence to exposure caused by deviation in the angle of view, when adjusting an image generated by imaging an object. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging mode for imaging the object is changed to an adjustment mode for adjusting the captured image by a mode switching means 115. According to the change of the mode by the mode switching means 115, photometry is performed to an image signal obtained from incident light in at least two kinds of photometry regions (112, 113) by a photometry means 109.
