A protective film is provided to prevent the residue from remaining and to prevent films from being got loose in case of lamination and rolling process, thereby maximizing the production yield of films. A protective film comprises a base film; a release layer which is formed on the one side of the base film; and an adhesive layer which is formed on the other side of the base film, wherein the adhesive layer satisfies the two relations represented by 80% <= K <= 85% (wherein K = (the storage modulus at 80°C)/(the storage modulus at 30°C)x100) and 2.0g/m^2 <= the dry coating amount of an adhesive layer <= 6.0g/m^2, and the release layer satisfies the relation represented by 0.04g/m^2 <= the dry coating amount of a release layer <= 0.15g/m^2.
