A synthetic image generator and a method thereof are provided to synthesize at least two images among a visible ray image, an infrared ray image and a millimeter wave image, thereby providing a synthetic image suitable for the necessity of a user. A synthetic image generator comprises an image acquisition part(600), an image synthesizing part(620), a display unit(640), a memory(630), and a controller(610). The image acquisition part comprises a visible ray camera(210), an infrared camera(220), and a millimeter wave image camera(200). The visible ray camera obtains a visible ray image by using visible rays. The infrared camera obtains an infrared ray image by using infrared rays. The millimeter wave image camera obtains a millimeter wave image by collecting millimeter waves radiated from an object. The image synthesizing part receives at least two images among the visible ray image, the infrared ray image and the millimeter wave image. The image synthesizing part produces a synthetic image by synthesizing the inputted images.
