An indicating device for a vacant parking space in a parking lot is provided to reduce installation cost, and to let a driver find an empty parking space with the naked eye and to park a vehicle easily. An indicating device(31) for a vacant parking space in a parking lot for indicating the state of a vehicle approaching and parking in a vacant parking space includes a bar member(33) extended to be higher than a vehicle and made of plastic, metallic or wooden materials, a flag(34) attached to the top of the bar member, and a spring member installed to the bottom of the bar member and supported by a support block(36). The spring member is installed to make the bottom fixed to the ground(5) in the vacant parking space and the top fixed to the bar member to keep the bar member standing erect with elasticity.
