PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum insulator in which an internal gas is efficiently discharged from an exhaust port by a through hole formed in an open cell polyurethane foam so that an exhaust time can be drastically shortened to enable excellent productivity and a high thermal insulation performance.SOLUTION: A vacuum insulator comprises: an outer case 2; an inner box 3; an open cell urethane foam 4 filled in a thermal insulation space between the outer case 2 and the inner box 3; and a vacuum exhaust port 6 arranged in the outer case 2 or the inner box 3. In the open cell urethane foam 4, there is formed a penetration hole 8a or a penetration groove 8b penetrated from the vacuum exhaust port 6. The vacuum exhaust port 6 is sealed after an insulation space filled with the open cell urethane foam 4 was evacuated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1B |
