PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing deterioration of a concrete base material caused by the infiltration of water or the like, particularly, frost damage, salt damage and neutralization. SOLUTION: Disclosed is a method for preventing deterioration of the concrete base material, and the method includes: a stage where a coating liquid comprising a resin (a) having a silanol group or a group convertible into a silanol group is applied to the concrete base material; a stage where a coating liquid comprising a water-soluble alkali silicate compound (b) is applied to the surface of the base material on which the coating liquid containing the resin (a) is applied; and a stage where a coating liquid containing a siliconate-based compound (c) is applied to the surface of the base material on which the coating liquid containing the water-soluble alkali silicate compound (b) is applied.
