An image processing device executes: a first contour width correction process (2) for correcting a contour width by interpolation calculation using a magnification control amount (RZC) generated according to an image data contour width, an enlargement process (3) for enlarging the image data whose contour width has been corrected by the first contour width correction process (2), a second contour width correction process (4) similar to the first contour width correction process (2) performed on the enlarged image data, and a contour emphasis process (5) for emphasizing the contour portion of the image data whose contour width has been corrected by the second contour width correction process (4). Thus, it is possible to reduce lowering of the sharpness accompanying the enlargement of the image and improve the image quality.
