<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new Streptococcus pneumoniae antigen for detecting Streptococcus pneumoniae and for the prevention or attenuation of infection by Streptococcus pneumoniae, to provide an isolated nucleic acid molecule encoding antigenic polypeptides of Streptococcus pneumoniae, to provide antigenic polypeptides, to provide vectors, host cells, and to provide recombinant methods for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The isolated nucleic acid molecules containing polynucleotides having nucleotide sequences which are at least 95% identical to a sequence selected from the following group: (a) a nucleotide sequence encoding the arbitrary amino acid sequence of a specific polypeptide, and (b) a nucleotide sequence complementary to the arbitrary amino acid sequence of (a). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
