PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing method of a lithium ion battery capable of effectively preventing blowout and firing of a housing when performing heat processing of a lithium ion battery.SOLUTION: The processing method of a lithium ion battery for processing by heating a lithium ion battery enclosed by a housing containing aluminum includes: using an incinerator for incinerating an object to be incinerated with flame; and heating the lithium ion battery while preventing a housing of the lithium ion battery from being directly brought into contact with flame.SELECTED DRAWING: None
