<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent easy guess of a password from display content or selecting operation by a third person when a password is inputted for personal authentication via a touch panel, a pointing device, or an alternative means. <P>SOLUTION: After characters or images to be selected are substituted with alternative figures, the alternative figures are moved/rearranged at random, and then, selected.
