PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus capable of acquiring an image of a peripheral tissue of a tumor, etc. with an excellent contrast in photoacoustic tomography using a contrast medium.SOLUTION: A photoacoustic apparatus includes a detection part 17 for detecting a photoacoustic wave 16 generated from a subject having a contrast medium in a first blood vessel and a second blood vessel different from the first blood vessel that circulate circulation blood, and a signal processing part 19 for generating contrast medium distribution information in the subject using the photoacoustic wave 16, and acquiring contrast medium concentration transition information indicating a temporal change in the concentration of the contrast medium in the circulation blood. The signal processing part 19 acquires the position of the first blood vessel based on the time series change in the contrast medium distribution information and the contrast medium concentration transition information, and makes a correction to reduce the concentration in the position of the first blood vessel from the contrast medium distribution information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
