1323492 Aerating liquids F TREMOLADA 19 April 1971 [26 Feb 1970] 21915/71 Heading B1C [Also in Divisions Fl F2 and G3] . In apparatus for aerating liquids, the liquid is supplied by a double-acting reciprocating pump 1 actuated by gas which is thereafter vented to atmosphere the gas may be the aerating gas. As shown (see also Figs. 2-6, not shown, and Division Fl) the pump has two pistons providing two operating chambers 13, 16 and two pumping chambers 14, 15 from which the liquid is pumped to a spray aerator 2 supplied with gas (e.g. carbon dioxide) from a cylinder B. The aerated liquid passes to a tank 3 which is under gas pressure and has a float 54 which controls operation of the pump. Fall of level in the tank admits gas to a duct 50 to open valves 51, 52 (see Figs. 7-12, not shown, and Division F2) which respectively allow supply of pressure gas to the pump through ducts 49, 19 and discharge therefrom to atmosphere through ducts 21, 21'.
