<p>The antenna has two feed lines (11, 12) carried on a support plate with a fitting enabling it to rotate about a vertical axis. Collinear with it are two radial elements attached to a central bracket (5). Collinear tubular elements are in the form of half wave oscillators with current division characteristics, with the outer pair (I1) producing a maximum flux near the centre of the bracket and the inner pair (I2) of half wave dipoles having the maximum current flow near the centre of each dipole element. The metallic support elements (6, 7, 8, 9) are practically parallel with the appropriate tubular elements (2, 3).</p> |
