The variations may be due to watermarks 4, security threads or printing 9. A signature strip may be provided either on security printed paper embedded in the outside surface of one of the sheets 1, 3 or on a portion of the sheet 2 not laminated (Fig. 4). Additionally a photograph may be incorporated either as a separate sheet included during the laminating process or as a layer coated on one of the sheets before lamination.
