Throwing toy (1), having a throwing body (2) which is fixed at the end of an elastic tensioning element (3), has a terminal bead (5) at the end of the tensioning element (3) for attachment to the hand (H) of the user. With the aid of this terminal bead (5) any desired loops or coils can be formed and fixed so that an individual, firm but nevertheless easily releasable grip is obtained. The tensioning element is a textile-covered rubber filament which can be very thin but nevertheless resistant to tension. <IMAGE>
