PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a reciprocating device of a load and to save the energy of the device by driving and stopping the load elastically energized by a spring in one direction by utilizing the power of a drive rotary wheel. CONSTITUTION:When a cassette is inserted into a cassette holder E in a car cassette, for example, at a reproduction starting time, a switch is closed, the holder E falls. A lever 17 is contacted with the surface 17 of a body deck, part of the holder E is contacted with the left end 29d of a lever 29 as designated by a broken line G to push it, and the lever 29 is rotated counterclockwise. Accordingly, a magnetic head supporting base 28 which places a lever 30 and a reproducing member J such as a magnetic head is unlocked, the base 28 is elastically returned leftward, and transferred to a reproduction mode. A switch 22b is closed, an idle wheel 14 is set to be disposed at the position slightly before the minimum deflecting point to a pulley 18. Accordingly, it is arrived at the vicinity of the minimum deflecting position by the slight rotation of the angle, and is spaced from the pulley 18 and automatically stopped. In this manner, even if a power source is unintentionally disconnected, a pinch roller is not deformed, nor reproducing sound is deteriorated.
