PURPOSE:To substitute plural data of low reliability which are produced consecutively in a comparatively simple constitution and to restore an original signal with high fidelity, by selecting the arithmetic result after performing an interpolating operation which satisfies the prescribed conditions and then substituting those data of low reliability. CONSTITUTION:If the two consecutive data D2 and D3 have low reliability among those data D1-D4 which are recorded and reproduced and sent from a terminal 2, the error signals d2 and d3 corresponding to data D2 and D3 and sent from a terminal 4 are set at high levels. Then selectors 21, 22, 24, etc. are controlled. While averaging circuits 26 and 28 perform operations according to equations to calculate (D1+D4)/2 and (3D1+D4)/ 4. One of both calculated values is selected via selectors 17 and 18 according to outputs ''1'' and ''0'' corresponding to the lower and upper projections in the increase trend of an original signal obtained by a subtractor circuit 50 which processes data D1 and D4 as well as an exclusive OR circuit. Thus the substitution data is obtained. In the same way, plural data of low reliability are substituted in a comparatively simple constitution also in case three signals of low reliability are continuous. Then an original signal can be restored with high fidelity. In the equation, A and B show the data immediately before and after the data of low reliability. |
