PURPOSE:To selectively separate only an org. compound from a water-org. compound mixture, by using an epoxy resin obtained through reaction such that an active hydrogen equivalent/epoxy equivalent ratio is brought to 0.5-0.8 as a permeable membrane forming component. CONSTITUTION:A cured epoxy resin is obtained by reacting a 6 or more C curing agent, which has one or two or more of epoxy groups and has or has not a hydrocarbonaceous substituent and has active hydrogen, with an epoxy compound under such a condition that the ratio of the number of the active hydrogens of said curing agent/that of epoxy groups of said epoxy compound comes to a range of 0.5-0.8 and used in forming a membrane. This reaction is performed in the good solvent of both compounds and the obtained reaction product is applied to a support table to receive heat treatment at 60-150 deg.C. The active layer side of the obtained membrane is directed to a primary side and the substance transmitted through the membrane is taken out from a secondary side in a gaseous state.
