PURPOSE:To confirm that recording is being made and to prevent a mistake in photographing with very simple constitution by providing the fist head that records a signal, the second head the same in azimuth angle with that of the first head and provided on a rotary drum, and a judging device that judges that signals are being recorded from output of the second head. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic tape 3 is wound on a rotary drum 2 with the lower end of the magnetic tape 3 parallel to a tape guiding lead of a fixed drum. Heads 1a, 1b for recordig are attached to the rotary drum 2 at the phase of 180 deg., and the height of lower ends of their head gap is equal. Further, heada 4a, 4b for confirming record are attached to the rotary drum 2 at a phase lagged by phi deg. from heads 1a, 1b for recording. The recording head 1a and record confirming head 4a have the same azimuth angle, and the recording head 1b and record confirming head 4b also have the same azimuth angle. When a VTR goes to recording operation, the heads 4a, 4b for confirming record scan tracks recorded by heads 1a, 1b for recording, and accordingly, reproduced signals can be obtained. |
