PURPOSE:To realize the economical structure of initialization function by writing the data on the memory device after assemblying the data by the access unit, which is received from the processing device plural times when a specific instruction is received from the processing device. CONSTITUTION:When a demand reception circuit 11 receives initialization instruction from a processing device 3, a mode latch is set at the initialization mode. Following this, the device 3 transfers the initialization data by 2 bytes each one time through a control bus 6, and a transfer control circuit controls so that these data are stored at upper half and lower half of a buffer 21 alternatively. Then, each time when one word of buffer 21 is filled up, the data is written on the device 1 with a crorection symbol by I/O 8 just in the same manner as in 4 byte transfer. In this way, the number of transfer is reduced, and the processing efficiency is improved, and at the same time it becomes possible to constitutes economical initialization function.
