PURPOSE:To enable the process from the sheet feed step by a roller to the sheet cut step with the use of a single motor, by providing a ratchet mechanism for reversing the roller to rewind the paper sheet. CONSTITUTION:The drive power of a motor 1 is transmitted to a gear 9 through a gear 4 to rotate a roller 3 for feeding a paper sheet, but a cutter gear 2 incorporating an one-way clutch is not rotated since the function of the clutch is effected. When the motor 1 is reversely rotated to drive a cutter, the drive power of the motor 1 is transmitted to a cutter gear 11 through the cutter gear 2 incorporating the one-way clutch to operate a cutter drive lever 5 so that the paper sheet is cut while the roller gear 4 incorporating an one-way clutch is not rotated since the function of the clutch is effected. After cutting the load of the motor 1 is low, and therefore, a pawl 7 is meshed with a ratchet gear 10 to reverse the roller 3 when the gear 11 is rotated exceeding a predetermined angle..Accordingly, a lever 6 is pushed up and therefore, abuts against a bar 13, resulting in separation of the pawl 7 from the gear 10 to retrieve the original condition.
