PURPOSE:To improve the smoother runnability of a magnetic layer by coating a magnetic paint contg. a low molecular polyol and high molecular polyol and polyisocyanate compd. satisfying respectively specific conditions on a base and curing the same. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic paint contg. the high mol.wt. polyol of <=800 number average mol.wt. having >=2 hydroxyl groups in average for each one molecule, high mol.wt. polyol of >=1,000 number average mol.wt. having >=2 hydroxyl groups in average for each one molecule and the polyisocyanate compd. having >=2 isocyanate groups in average for each one molecule as the binder components is coated on the base and is cured to form the magnetic layer. The parts where the distance between crosslinking points is short and the parts where said distance is long are made to exist uniformly, continuously and mixedly in the entire part of the magnetic layer by the reaction of the low mol.wt. polyol, the high mol.wt. polyol and the polyisocyanate compd. and therefore the magnetic layer having the adequate rigidity and resilience and having the smooth runnability is thus obtd.
