PURPOSE:To obtain the three-dimensional coordinates of an object together with brightness and color and to input a shape with high accuracy for all still lives by investigating a texture on a scanning line pattern obtained by shifting the object of input or a television camera in parallel. CONSTITUTION:A point (edge) 7 on a cross sectional outline line 6 which is intersecting lines with an input object 5 and a co-scanning line plane 4 formed by a center 1 of projection and a scanning line 3 on a picture plane 2 is projected as a point on the scanning line 3. When the television camera is shifted in parallel to the scanning line 3, the operation is equal relatively to a fact that the input object 5 is shifted in parallel to the scanning line 3, the shifting quantity on the scanning line 3 of an edge projecting point 8 is different according to the distance from the center 1 of projection of the edge 7, and the far edge shifts slowly and the near edge shifts quickly on the scanning line. The shifting quantity of the edge projecting point 8 is measured, the distance at the section of the center 1 of projection is calculated, and the three-dimensional coordinates of the edge are obtained. The graph, in which the pattern on the scanning line 3 is used as the vertical axis and the time (t) as the horizontal axis, comes to the texture composed of many straight lines.
