PURPOSE:To eliminate the effect of a surge effectively by a small-scale small- capacity surge absorption circuit by providing a surge absorbing means with a capacitor connected in parallel with an electromagnetic device and a status switching relay. CONSTITUTION:A capacitor 13 is charged at positive charges before a status switching relay 14 is changed over. When the status switching relay 14 starts changeover operation, a section between load 3 and the power supply side is at OFF and voltage applied to load suddenly drops. When the capacitor 13 is turned ON by the status switching relay 14, surge voltage flows into the capacitor 13, and is absorbed quickly. The capacitor 13 is made approximately the same as power side voltage by surface absorption, and charged at negative charges. The status switching relay 14 starts changeover operation, and the capacitor 13 is detached from a circuit. Surge voltage generated on OFF of load 3 is almost annihilated.
