SUBSTRATE MATERIAL FOR MAGNETIC HEAD

摘要

PURPOSE:To lower the primary calcination temp. in the stage of hot hydrostatic press working so as to improve toughness and to considerably decrease the generation of chipping by fine working by adding CaO and ZrO2 alone or in combination to a compsn. consisting of TiC and Al2O3. CONSTITUTION:This material is formed by adding 0.01-1pt.wt. CaO and 0.01-0.4pt.wt. ZrO2 alone or in combination to 100pts.wt. compsn. consisting of 20-50pts.wt. TiC and 80-50pts.wt. Al2O3. The primary calcination temp. in the case of using the hot hydrostatic press working is thereby lowered by >=50 deg.C by which the toughness is improved and the generation of chipping by fine working is considerably improved.
