PURPOSE:To extend a store trap as far as a bit designation and to attain the effective store trap by giving a means designating not only an address but also a bit and its value, and a means comparing values designated to a designated bit in the designated address, and generating an interruption when conditions hold. CONSTITUTION:When a maintenance crew realizes that the abnormality of a system results from the destruction of data, he registers the store trap by a typewriter TYP4. A TYP controller 3 reads information, and a store trap request processing 22 sets a trap request display (c) in a controller 2, a trap address (e), a bit positioning (f) and a designationed bit value (g). On the other hand, the controller 2 extracts an instruction from an instruction address (a), and sets data to a data address (d). If said controller 2 refers to a trap request display (c) and finds that the request is issued, it compares data address (d) with the trap address (e). Not the whole data but a part of data is noticed at the time of the store trap, and it is trapped when the data and trap addresses coincide. Therefore objective data is precisely grasped.
