PURPOSE:To make it possible to provide a magnetron protection following a trouble in a blower and prevent fire from burning a food in a heating chamber with a single temperature switch by providing a temperature switch which is located between an air intake opening provided in a heating chamber and a magnetron and also located on the ceiling plate of the heating chamber. CONSTITUTION:When, during cooking by heating, a blower 5 stops to operate due to a trouble in it, the temperature of a megnetron 3 rises suddenly and its heat is transmitted to a temperature switch 9 through the wall of a heating chamber 2. When the temperature of the switch rises above a set value, the temperature switch 9 operates to open, shutting off the electric current to the magnetron 3 to stop its operation. Further, if setting of a timer is mistaken to overheat the food in the heating chamber 2 and the food burns, the hot wind in the heating chamber 2 flows towards an intake opening 6, heating thereby suddenly the space between the center line 10 of the magnetron and the edge line 11 of the intake opening 6, and the temperature switch operates to open by the high temperature in the space. The combustion in the heating chamber 2 thereby ends and fire can be prevented.
